The restaurant is located in a historic building it was once the store of Jesse R. Grant, general Grant's father. Then in 1900 Frank Owen who was the mayor of Galena ran a saloon in the building. Eventually, Fred Bonnet bought the historic building because of the vintage character. The building is a historic one and does not accommodate wheelchairs the building is multilevel with no elevator. They also do not have highchairs or boosters for those little kids so make sure that your child can sit on their own. Make your reservation today!
The restaurant is upscale casual. They encourage their guests to wear whatever they feel comfortable in. Stop in and order the seafood like the bruschetta salmon, fresh sea scallops, cedar-planked walleye, or Chilean seabass. They have some great options for steak as well like ad espresso steak, jack daniels porterhouse, filet mignon & shrimp or just a plain filet that are made to order. They also serve their namesake the fried green tomatoes as well as mussels, pesto bruschetta, crab cakes, sweet chili shrimp, Caprese flatbread and more great options. They also offer a weekly wine special that you can find listed o the specials section of their website.
The restaurant also does group package dinners. They have silver, gold and platinum dinner options. Customers can also add a glass of wine or dessert of $6 more a person. If you don't want to eat in grab some food to go.
The restaurant is closed on most of the major holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
