The Felt Manor is the French Second Empire mansion overlooking Galena and the surrounding countryside. Built by Lucius Felt in 1848, the inn offers a lovely setting in the heart of Galena's history and charm. Guests enjoy personalized service, hospitality and amenities designed to thrill the discerning traveler.

Becoming legendary in Galena, Felt Manor offers afternoon tea daily at four. Guests enjoy a splendid assortment of tea sandwiches, pastries, and appetizers that complement a fine selection of teas and coffees. Fresh Lemonade on the front porch is a great way to end an afternoon of exploring Galena.

Not to be outdone, a full gourmet breakfast is offered each morning served at a time of your choice.

Our double stairway leading down to Prospect Street is listed with the Library of Congress as a National Landmark.

Known as Felt's Folly, as it cost over forty thousand dollars to build in 1850, it is a breathtaking way to walk down to Main Street and its wonderful shops, museums, and galleries.

Galena is also blessed with many fine restaurants, all within walking distance of the Felt Manor. Golf, downhill and cross-country skiiing, Historic Sites, Horseback Riding, Theatre, and State Parks are all within minutes.

The five guest rooms are all furnished with antiques or reproductions, several with the spectacular view of the Galena valley. The Romantic Escape package offers a perfect reason to leave the world behind.
